Codesharing possibilities?

Post by omega95 on Sat Sep 10, 2011 7:17 pm

Merlion has very less flights (other than tours and charters ofcourse) around the Caribbean and this is an area a lot of people love to fly around, so we're thinking if it's possible for you to have a code-share agreement here. In return, we'll let you code-share from/in Hong Kong and Manila.
This means that merlion will have to start flights to TNCC from KMIA and possibly, from WSSS via FAJS.

How does a code-share agreement work?
What I mean by a code-share agreement is that for example, say a merlion pilot wants to fly from TNCC to TNCM but merlion doesn't operate on that route so a merlion pilot flies that route with a merlion callsign but with a TSA plane and files a Pilot Report on TSA's website. This means TSA get's the profit and flight count for this flight. This implies that all code-share pilots would have to register at both VA's websites.
And this goes both ways, if a TSA pilot wants to fly from VHHH to RKSI but TSA doesn't have that route, they can use the TSA callsign but a merlion aircraft to fly that and file a pirep in merlion's website.

Therefore, it's mutual. Very Happy

ok here are some suggestions:
KMIA - TNCC (TSA CRJ-700)
TNCM - TNCS/E(NEON AIRLINES)
TNCM - TNCC
TNCM - SVMI
and more... it would be an even better codeshare if you had tncc as a destination as TSA could use that opportunity to fly our carib destinations more frequently

Yea, that's possible but would require php_cURL or that both website's databases are in the same host. That could be possible... your website needs to be with my temporary host1free account now and move when when get a new host. This lets us connect the databases, so if a pilot selects "code-share flight" in his option, it'll be submitted to the other VA... yea, we might be able to get that to work. Very Happy
